Reforestation in Mexico
Tree planting in the Quintana Roo region of Mexico, delivered by our partner Restoration Era.

Introduction
Evertreen funds tree planting in the Quintana Roo region of Mexico, delivered by our partner Restoration Era.
What the work involves
Planting focuses on native species suited to the Yucatán peninsula, on land degraded by clearance and agricultural use. Restoration Era propagates the stock, carries out the planting and maintains the sites.
Our role, and what this is not
Evertreen funds the planting and reports it to the client who paid for it. We do not own or operate the sites. This is tree planting, not a certified carbon credit. No carbon credit is issued or retired against it, and there is no registry entry or third-party verifier attached to this project. CO₂ figures shown against it are modelled lifetime estimates — how we estimate this.
Our previous partner in Mexico
Until 2026 our Mexican planting ran through the Scolel'te community agroforestry programme in Chiapas, managed by AMBIO and certified under Plan Vivo. That partnership has ended. Trees funded through it remain with the programme that planted them.
