In Mexico, Evertreen plants seven types of trees, each making up 14.29% of the total: Pine (Pinus spp.), Oak (Quercus spp.), Cedro (Cedrela spp.), Alnus (Alnus spp.), Liquidambar (Liquidambar spp.), Hymenaea (Hymenaea spp.), and Tabebuia (Tabebuia spp.).
Pine trees are known for their rapid growth and carbon sequestration, capturing approximately 0.9 tons of CO2 per tree, and supporting diverse wildlife.
Oak trees are essential for their longevity and strength, providing habitats for numerous species and playing a key role in soil stabilization.
Cedro trees are valued for their high-quality timber and contribute to the local economy while supporting ecosystem health.
Alnus trees enrich the soil with nitrogen, enhancing fertility and supporting healthy plant growth.
Liquidambar trees, known for their vibrant autumn foliage, improve air quality and provide essential habitats.
